The programme started with the lighting of the\u00a0<\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\">lamp by the principal followed by the singing of \u201d Raghupati Raghav Raja Ram&#8221;, <\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\">\u201dVaishnav Jan&#8221; and \u201dEkla Chalo&#8221;. To put into practice Gandhiji&#8217;s beliefs of respect and\u00a0<\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\">tolerance towards other religions, recitals from Gita, Quran, Guru Granth Sahib and Bible\u00a0<\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\">were read. Preachings from religions like Jainism and Buddhism were also read out. The\u00a0<\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\">sounds of the bhajans and the hymns created an atmosphere of serenity and peace. A\u00a0<\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\">sense ofcalm and equanimity prevailed.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"PreformattedText\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">\u00a0<\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\">In keeping with the tradition of our school, we dedicated 2nd October to Shramdaan.
