US PRESIDENT ELECTION 2020: JOE BIDEN TO BECOME THE 46TH PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED NATIONS OF AMERICA

Joseph R. Biden Jr. became the 46th President of the United States of America after defeating Donald Trump in the US President Election 2020. Kamala Harris was elected as the Vice President. Both of them addressed the nation and made optimistic speeches seeking growth and development. Kamala Harris made several records and became the first woman to become the Vice President and to gain political power of this level.

In his political campaign, Joe Biden had promised to restore the stability in the country and also help America come out of the widespread coronavirus pandemic. In a close race, Joe Biden secured more than 273 votes from the Electoral College. The 77-year-old Biden has become the oldest candidate to be sworn in the office. Senator Kamala Harris also made history by becoming the first woman and first woman of color to become the Vice President.

Kamala Harris has made several records by achieving this feat. She is the first woman Vice President. She is also the first Black woman and the first Indian-American woman to gain a political stance of high order in the United States of America. Kamala Harris has a Jamaican Father and an Indian Mother. She represents racial diversity in America. 

Biden won the 2020 presidential election after serving 8 years as a Vice President under Barrack Obama. Mr. Biden won nearly 74 Million votes and broke the record of Barrack Obama set in 2012. Mr. Donald Trump also received approximately 70 million votes. Against Hillary Clinton in the previous election, Mr. Donald Trump had secured 63 million votes. Amidst the prevalent COVID-19 pandemic, a large crowd of voters came to cast their votes.

The legal team of Donald Trump and the Republican Party have started their legal assault. Donald Trump has indicated to continue to challenge the results. Many of the Trump supporters took to the streets to protest. Some were accused of carrying arms. The police forces intervened to maintain the order.

The result was not surprising as many media outlets had already predicted Mr. Biden to win the elections. The votes are still being counted but the chances of Trump’s win are extremely slim, almost negligible. The world broadcasted the news of Biden’s victory all over. The US Presidential election 2020 was an event of major speculation for people all over the world. Biden’s win affects the trade relations worldwide as his policies significantly offers from that of the Trump administration.
