In an ongoing battle between the terrorists and the security forces, the security forces killed at least two terrorists on Monday. This event happened after the terrorists attacked and killed two troopers of the Special Police Officer (SPO) and the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) of Jammu and Kashmir police a day before the encounter in Jammu and Kashmir’s Baramulla district.

The sequence of events started after the terrorists attacked the troopers of SPO and CRPF, and then the security forces chased down the terrorists behind the attack.

According to the statement given by the police forces, the area of attack was immediately cordoned off by the security forces and the search operation of terrorists was also started. As soon as contact was established with the terrorists an exchange of fire started and during this, the terrorists were killed.

According to the eyewitnesses, three militants came from nearly dense forests and started firing on the troopers due to which three of our jawans- two from CRPF and one from J-K police were martyred.

On the day of the attack on CRPF and SPO by the terrorists, Vijay Kumar inspector general of police Kashmir said that the terrorists are suspected to be belonging to Lashkar-e-Taiba and that they would give a befitting reply to them soon. He further stated that the area had been cordoned off and the search operations are on. On asking a question about the strategy, thy terrorists are using to attack the security forces and fleeing the spot he said that they will soon find a solution to this problem and that it is a serious matter of concern.

He further said that the number of forces in a remote area is less and thus the terrorists conceal themselves by coming along with the civilians and then fire on the troops. The forces have faced severe losses due to this problem, and the terrorists manage to flee a few times.

This was the second attack on security forces in Kashmir in the last three days. On August 14 two policemen were killed, and one was injured in a similar attack in Nowgam area of Srinagar.

The attacks on troops is not a new thing, this has happened several times, and our forces always gave a befitting reply to the terrorists.
