    Visit to Dakpathar Barrage

On 28th July 2025, a group of 8 students along with Ms Shweta Srivastava went on an educational trip to the Dakpathar Barrage, located on the River Yamuna in Uttarakhand. The purpose of the visit was to enhance students’ understanding of river management and hydroelectric projects through real-world exposure. The Dakpathar Barrage, situated near the border of Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh, offered students valuable insights into the significance of inter-state water bodies. The River Yamuna, which flows through the region, is a key source of irrigation and hydroelectric power. During the visit, students observed the structure and functioning of the barrage and interacted with the on-site staff, who explained its importance in water regulation and electricity generation. The surrounding landscape also provided an excellent opportunity to discuss regional geography.

The trip was both educational and enjoyable, allowing students to connect classroom learning with practical knowledge. It was a memorable and meaningful experience.
