Boarding Houses

Pastoral care at Ecole Globale International Girls' School is not just an obligation but a duty carried out by following the principle of in loco parentis along with the firm belief that “No Child is Left Behind.” Thus, the school creates such an atmosphere that helps in developing and fostering a caring attitude and behaviour towards children.

There are six boarding houses at Ecole Globale School, with about 65 students staying in each one of them. In these boarding houses, students explore the possibilities of creating life-long friends. One boarding house is meant for our relatively younger ones, the students of Grades IV-VII, while the rest five Senior Houses are meant for the girls of Grades VIII-XII.

Every house is taken care of by a pastoral care team which comprises of the Head of Pastoral Care, Housemistress, House Mother, Matron and three Sahayikas, looking after the students round the clock and ready to help any student with care, encouragement, and counseling. They are well supported by the House Tutors and senior Ecoliers helping, mentoring and guiding junior students. This thoughtfully layered pastoral framework ensures that every child receives personalised attention and that academic, emotional, social, and pastoral concerns are addressed with empathy, sensitivity and promptness. Whenever a student requires deeper emotional or psychological support, the School Counsellor works closely with the pastoral team to provide professional guidance and care.

While all six boarding houses are bound strongly by a common set of values and routines, each one glows with a unique inherent fire of character, soul and poise. Living in a boarding community teaches students to blend shared responsibilities with independence in a seamless manner. The students learn to organize themselves, develop discipline, keep their word and manage time. These essential life skills armour them to traverse the journey of life.

Regular and consistent communication with parents ensures that every student receives the right support, while our culture of dialogue, trust, and teamwork makes us say our school is a happy school, wherein each girl grows up to be a happy, kind, joyful and confident human being.
