CAMBRIDGE INTERNATIONAL EDUCATION

Cambridge IGCSE (International General Certificate of Secondary Education)

Cambridge IGCSE is among the most widely recognised international qualifications for 14-to-16-year-olds and works well as a springboard into more advanced study.

At Ecole, students choose between the CBSE and Cambridge International pathways from Grade IX. The two-year IGCSE programme, run across Classes IX and X, balances academic rigour with room for genuine intellectual exploration - building confidence in inquiry, independent learning, and decision-making along the way.

Assessment happens at the end of the two-year programme, generally in the February/March examination series. Depending on the subject, that can mean written exams, oral assessment, coursework, or practical components - giving students more than one way to show what they know. Results are reported on the internationally recognised A* to G scale. 

Cambridge International AS and A Level

Cambridge International AS and A Levels build on the foundation laid during IGCSE and roughly correspond to Grades XI and XII in India. They push students further into intellectual independence, deeper subject engagement, and stronger analytical and research skills.

The AS Level covers roughly half the content of a full A Level and is usually completed in a year. The A Level extends that over two years, giving students the room to go deeper into their chosen subjects and prepare properly for university.

The Cambridge International AS and A Level programme offers students:

At Ecole, students typically take four to five subjects at AS Level and narrow down to three or four at A Level, depending on their interests, strengths, and where they're headed next.

Cambridge International A Level qualifications are graded from A* (highest) to E (minimum required performance), while Cambridge International AS Levels are graded from A to E.
