Viha Ponkiya marked her birthday by donating groceries to the residents of Prem Dham Old Age Home. She was accompanied by a group of ten girls, along with Ms. Mukta and Ms. Rekha. At the home, which houses around 35 elderly residents, the students spent about an hour interacting with them.
The visit proved to be both emotional and insightful, as the students listened to the residents’ experiences, particularly stories of separation from their families. This left a deep and lasting impact on them. The visit concluded on a poignant note, with the students promising to return. It was a meaningful experience that fostered empathy, compassion, and a strong sense of social responsibility.
