The Inter-House Fashion Show, held on May 17th, was a spectacular event that vividly brought the bold and rebellious world of punk fashion to life. Centered around the punk theme, the show showcased the DIY aesthetic, where clothes were creatively altered, ripped, and patched to embody the spirit of individuality and rebellion.
The essence of punk was powerfully conveyed through iconic elements such as leather jackets and distressed denim—symbols of toughness and defiance. Bold hairstyles, combat boots, and the use of political slogans and anti-authoritarian imagery further highlighted the movement’s rebellious roots. Safety pins and chains were featured abundantly, adding an industrial edge while reflecting the resourcefulness intrinsic to punk culture.
The models truly “slayed” the runway, their confident and captivating walks leaving the audience mesmerized. The event opened with a stunning introductory walk by the Grade 8 students, and the showstopper, Mr. Amber, added an unforgettable flair that made the afternoon even more memorable.
