Saturday, 21st February, witnessed a small miracle with Grade 4 and 5 students willingly waking up early without multiple reminders! The same girls who usually negotiate for “five more minutes” were up and ready with colours, water bottles, and carefully packed chocolates and lollipos.
They set off for a scenic spot a few kilometres away from school. Between enthusiastic singing and a playlist that had something for everyone, the bus ride flew by. By the time they reached the trekking point, excitement levels were already sky-high.
The walk was filled with chatter, laughter, and the occasional “Wait for me!” There was friendly jostling for the best photo spots and the teacher escorts shared interesting trivia about the surroundings.
The girls tried their hand at stone painting, turning ordinary pebbles into tiny works of art. The highlight, however, was the food. Making fruit chaat together was fun but nothing quite matched the joy of piping hot Maggi enjoyed in the open air. Somehow, it always tastes better outdoors.
They returned to school tired but refreshed, already asking when the next nature walk would be planned.
