8 Pathways to Every Student’s Success

Students’ success doesn’t simply mean getting good marks in exams but what it actually means is to develop the students and transform them into knowledgeable, engaged, caring,  and confident human beings. Students’ success depends on many factors like their relationship with parents, teachers, friends etc. and how well they are grasping the knowledge which is provided to them. Education and development go hand in hand so when students are able to experience both will lead them to success.

Teachers play a very important role in creating an atmosphere in class where students not only focus on education but also develop their internal abilities which will help students to know more about themselves and their hidden abilities so every teacher should start focusing on ways to educate and develop the students so they can become successful. Teachers of schools in Dehradun start focusing on ways to guide students as a way so that they became successful in their life.

Here are 8 pathways that will lead every student’s success

  • Creativity – Creativity means thinking and generate original ideas that will enhance imagination and lead to innovation. Teachers can bring creativity to the classroom by allowing students to freely express themselves and takes part in activities that enhance creativity like drawings, acting, writing, and introduce unconventional learning materials that will expand students’ imagination plus they will come up with new outside the box ideas and will build skills which will gradually help them in their careers.
  • Curiosity – Curiosity is a very strong desire to explore and learn new things and gain knowledge. Curiosity helps children throughout their lives to learn and expand their knowledge. Curiosity makes children engaged with the material and it also enhances their reasoning and critical thinking skills. Teachers can create an environment of curiosity by providing children with new information from time to time and also make them comfortable so they can ask as many questions as they can by making children curious to seek more information that will help them become successful in life.
  • Empathy – Empathy means the ability to understand what other people feel. It promotes the feeling of compassion, kindness and caring. Children are the young citizens of the country and in order to make a better world in which people care for each other children should be taught to empathise with others at a young age. Teachers can indirectly encourage children to be more empathetic by simply being empathetic towards children. This will set up an example for children which will gradually make them more empathetic.
  •  Integrity –  Integrity is the trait of being completely honest and having strong ethical, moral principles and doing the right thing when nobody’s watching. Integrity is a good quality which teachers should help children build by simply treating children with dignity and respect and praise them when they showcase their value or beliefs through actions just by doing this children will become aware of their morals and values.
  • Self-Awareness – It simply mean getting aware of your own thoughts, action and emotion and introspecting your own self, Self Awareness can really help children notice that they are unique and different from others so they don’t have to copy others or try to be like somebody else as every single person living in this world is different. Teachers can make students self-aware by asking them to write 10 things they like about themselves or help students find out their strengths, by these students will build confidence which will definitely help them become successful.
  • Resourcefulness –  It is the ability to make better use of the given resources in order to solve the problem or to reach goals This trait will help children to enhance their planning, strategic thinking and problems solving ability. Teachers can help students become resourceful by teaching them how to use the given resources to achieve their goals.
  • Sociability – Sociability means interacting with other people expressing their feelings, listening to others and creating meaningful positive relationships This will enhance children’s communication skills and active listening skills which are probably most important for the success of students. Teachers can create an environment where instead of competing with each other children come forward and work together for instance group projects, games etc.

Importance of Failure – Though failure looks like a negative term it is necessary for the growth of human beings as when they overcame failure that’s when they become successful so teachers should teach children the importance of Failure by creating an atmosphere where they encourage to take action to complete their goals freely without worrying about getting fail by this children’s fear of failure will eventually go away and they will become more confident in trying new things and if failed instead of losing hope they will work hard to turn the failure into success.
