A workshop on the theme of ‘Transforming Classroom NEP 2020:Aligned Approaches to Experiential Learning,Critical Thinking and Outcome based Education’ was organized by Ecole Globale on 19th May,2025 in the MPH, with the objective of familiarizing educators and stakeholders with the core principles, vision, and implementation strategies of the policy. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from teachers, academic coordinators, and school administrators.
The resource person for the workshop was Dr.Meena Bhandari,Dean ICFAI University, Dehradun who provided a comprehensive overview of the NEP 2020.She explained the major shifts introduced in the policy such as the new 5+3+3+4 academic structure, emphasis on foundational literacy and numeracy, incorporation of vocational education at an early stage, and promotion of regional languages and holistic development.
A special focus was placed on the integration of technology in teaching and learning, and the importance of nurturing creativity, critical thinking, and life skills among students. The speaker also emphasized the need for continuous professional development of teachers and highlighted the autonomy given to educational institutions under the NEP framework. The policy’s goal of making education more inclusive, flexible, and aligned with global standards was appreciated by all attendees.
he workshop included an interactive session where participants raised relevant questions and discussed the challenges and opportunities related to implementing NEP at the grassroot level. Case studies and real-life classroom examples were shared, making the discussions practical and relatable. The workshop was a step forward in preparing the institution to align with the goals of NEP 2020.
