In mid-January, seven École girls embarked on an enriching educational visit to Singapore, where they experienced some of the world’s premier universities: Singapore Management University (SMU), Nanyang Technological University (NTU), and the National University of Singapore (NUS). The programme was carefully designed to bridge the gap between school and higher education, allowing students to gain a realistic understanding of university expectations and supporting their transition into tertiary learning.
The students were exposed to world-class academia and immersed in a vibrant global culture. This experience enabled them to reflect on their personal motivation, goal setting, and academic aspirations. Through first-hand engagement, the girls gained valuable insights into specialised programmes, campus independence, and the balance required to manage everyday living alongside academic commitments.
The experience made a lasting impact, equipping the students with clarity and inspiration as they begin to explore future academic pathways.
The cultural experience was equally impactful. Navigating public transport systems, mapping routes, and independently travelling to the universities proved both exciting and empowering. The students embraced the challenge confidently, quickly grasping the systems and demonstrating adaptability and independence throughout the experience.
