On 12th July 2025, Team IRIS conducted a Faculty Development Program on Child Safety, focusing on equipping educators with essential knowledge and strategies to protect students. The session addressed key concerns such as negligence, lack of awareness, and growing online threats. Teachers were guided on kidnapping prevention, with an emphasis on fostering awareness and alertness in children. The issue of bullying—both physical and emotional—was discussed alongside practical ways to create inclusive, secure school environments. A significant portion of the session focused on cyberbullying, highlighting forms like harassment, impersonation, and trolling. Faculty were also briefed on critical child protection laws including the POCSO Act, JJ Act, and relevant sections on cybercrime. To enhance understanding, films like Komal, Cyberbully, and Trust were recommended for further awareness. The session concluded with a thought-provoking Q&A, enabling teachers to address real-life challenges. Faculty left empowered, reaffirming their role in ensuring student safety both online and offline.
