Ecole Globale International Girls School recently completed a successful four-day one-on-one career counselling session for students from grades VIII to XII, in collaboration with the renowned consultancy, Institute of Career Studies (ICS). Led by Dr. Amrita Dass, the founder and a leading educational and career consultant in India, the program involved her expert team conducting pre-session aptitude tests, followed by detailed individual counselling sessions and guidance on subsequent career steps.
Dr. Dass, whose career guidance expertise dates back to 1985, has made significant contributions both nationally and internationally. The counselling process included a comprehensive multi-dimensional assessment that evaluated students’ verbal, numerical, and abstract reasoning skills. This helped identify each student’s unique traits-whether investigative, artistic, social, enterprising, or conventional-and their potential to learn and grow.
The computerized testing provided reliable benchmarking against community-wide trends, while the personalized sessions skilfully highlighted each student’s interests, aptitudes, and attitudes. ICS counsellors built strong rapport with students, employing tailored methodologies to offer practical and personalized career roadmaps. This blend of expert guidance and individual attention ensured an impactful and human-centred counselling experience for every student.
