On 29 November 2025, students of Grades 4–8 engaged in an art-integrated Social Science activity hour that combined creativity with meaningful learning. Grade 4 students illustrated the Sources of Water and the Importance of Forests through drawing, colouring, and collage work, demonstrating their understanding of natural resources and their role in sustaining life.
Grade 5 explored Natural Disasters by visually representing earthquakes, floods, cyclones, tsunamis, and volcanoes, using stepwise diagrams to show their causes and impact. Grade 6 celebrated India’s cultural richness by designing maps and posters that depicted languages, festivals, clothing, and traditions, reinforcing the idea of Unity in Diversity.
Grade 7 travelled through time with their imaginative “Time-Traveling Postcards,” creating artwork inspired by historical eras and writing reflective messages from the perspective of people of the past. Grade 8 collaborated on research-based posters on Tribal Cultures of India, presenting each tribe’s lifestyle, traditions, and challenges while linking their findings to civics and social justice. The activity hour successfully blended artistic expression with subject knowledge, fostering awareness, creativity, and deeper understanding across grades.
