Ms. Kanchan Khandke
Principal

An alumnus of Modern High School for Girls, and Presidency College, Kolkata, Ms. Khandke, Principal, Ecole Globale International Girls’ School, is not only an avid educationist and administrator, but also her interests expand to debating, dramatics and dance.
After completing her post-graduate degree from the University of Pune, Maharashtra and a B.Ed. degree from Loreto College, Kolkata, Ms. Khandke qualified the University Grants Commission Eligibility Exam for Lectureship, which led to her selection as a Lecturer in the National Defence Academy, Khadakwasla, where she worked for two years.
Ms Khandke also holds a Diploma in the Montessori Method of Education from Association Montessori Internationale, Holland, and has trained in the IBDP (International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme) in two disciplines – ‘Theory of Knowledge’ and ‘History’, and in the Cambridge Assessment for International Education (CIE) for the IGCSE and the AS and A- level programmes.
A stellar scholar during her learning years, Ms. Khandke has been doing justice to her extensive knowledge by giving it back to the society as a mentor in the field of teaching and learning for the past three decades. She has been associated with institutions like Loreto College, Kolkata, Welham Girls’ School, Dehradun, Hutchings High School, Pune, DPS, Bhilai, Indus International School, Pune, and Mayo College Girls’ School, Ajmer, in the capacity of a teacher, trainer and administrator.
Ms. Khandke has served as Principal of Mayo College Girls’ School, Ajmer, from 2013 to 2023.
She is currently the Principal of Ecole Globale International Girls’ School, Dehradun.
She has travelled extensively in India and overseas owing to her professional and personal duties thus getting many opportunities to imbibe rich learnings from diverse peoples and cultures.
Ms. Khandke believes that schools should produce compassionate, sensitive and just leaders who will take responsibilities and have the courage to be instruments of change, and that the educators need to be imbued with the spirit of humility to be role models for such a generation of leaders.
