Evanya Kalia recently participated in the prestigious Speech Debate India × Harvard Debate Council program, an intensive initiative aimed at developing students’ debating, public speaking, research, and critical thinking skills through the U.S.-style policy debate format.
Evanya chose to compete in the Championship Track, a highly challenging category designed for students who are comfortable in a competitive environment and eager to push their abilities to the next level. The track demands advanced research, evidence-based argumentation, strategic rebuttals, and competition against some of the most skilled young debaters.
Despite the rigorous nature of the competition, Evanya delivered an outstanding performance and was awarded the Second Best Speaker Award, a distinction that recognizes one of the top individual speakers in the tournament.
