The Inter-House English Elocution for the academic year 2025-26 took place on 19th August 2025 at the MPH. The competition featured two categories: Poetry for Grades IV–VIII and Prose for Grades IX–XII. Participants captivated the audience with their expressive performances of carefully chosen works. The poetry round included humorous and inspiring pieces such as ‘My Teacher Took My iPod’ by Kenn Nesbitt and ‘Sick’ by Shel Silverstein. In the prose round, powerful speeches and extracts like Maya Angelou’s ‘Ain’t I a Woman’ and ‘Why Be Happy’ by Jeanette Winterson were highlighted. Judges assessed each participant on their choice of topic, intonation, and delivery. Their confident presence on stage and clear expression showcased not only their skill with language but also their love for literature. The results for the event were as follows
