AFS North Zone Meet 2025 was hosted at Yadavindra Public School, Mohali, from July 27–29, bringing together students and educators for an enriching three-day experience centred on internationalism and intercultural exchange. Ecole was represented by Shubhi Singh and Taani Chitkara along with AFS Coordinator Ms Prakriti Kala.Day 1 began with flag march rehearsals and an engaging ice-breaking session, fostering camaraderie among participants. Day 2 commenced with a rejuvenating yoga session, followed by an official inauguration. Key speakers included Mr. Jayant Lal, who highlighted the importance of domestic and international exchanges, and Ms. Diya Badgel, National Director of AFS, who emphasized cultural sensitivity and volunteerism. Insightful keynote sessions were delivered by Lt. Gen. T.S. Shergill on geopolitics and peacebuilding through cultural understanding, and Ms. Deeptha Vivekananda, whose storytelling underscored empathy and inclusion. Mr. Vivek Atray inspired students with a short but impactful talk.A panel discussion on internationalism, moderated by Mr. Rashid Sharfuddin, provoked thoughtful dialogue. School heads and AFS coordinators later explored practical strategies to strengthen exchange programmes.The meet was a memorable journey in cultural learning, understanding, and connection.
