Francofiesta 2025 was held on 30th July at Welham Girls’ School, Dehradun, bringing together French learners from prestigious schools like The Doon School, Welham Boys’, and St. Joseph’s Academy. A group of 16 students from Ecole enthusiastically participated in this vibrant celebration.
Sharyu Jogdande (Grade 10, CIE) won third place in the Poem Recitation category with a powerful rendition of La Liberté by Paul Éluard. In the French Quiz, Avika Singla (Grade 10B) and Veronika Singh (Grade 8B) secured fourth place, impressing with their knowledge of French culture and current affairs.A short film titled Être cultivé selon moi, c’est featured Parinishta Joshi (Grade AS) and Japanjot Kaur (Grade 11C), showcasing students’ creativity. Students also attended an insightful workshop on French phonetics led by Dr. V.D. Sharma from Doon University.
The event was a memorable blend of learning, creativity, and cultural exchange.
