Three students from the school participated in a Poetry and Painting Competition themed “Primavera”, organised by the School of Languages, Department of Spanish at Doon University. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from several schools across Dehradun, making it a vibrant celebration of art and language.
We take pride in the achievements of our students-Teertha secured 1st position in Spanish Painting, while Leeza Khan was awarded 3rd position in Spanish Poetry. The event was graced by Dr. R. Viswanathan, former Ambassador and a renowned expert on Latin America, as the Chief Guest.
He is widely recognised for promoting awareness of Latin American culture and strengthening India–Latin America relations through his writings, talks, and advisory work. His proficiency in Spanish and Portuguese added further significance to the occasion.
Students also had the opportunity to immerse themselves in Spanish culture through engaging presentations, including the famous play La Boda de Sangre, along with lively Spanish songs and dances. The event provided a valuable platform for students to broaden their cultural horizons, enhance their language skills, and explore future academic and career opportunities in foreign languages.
