The Doon Girls’ School, Dehradun, hosted a two-day workshop on August 23–24, 2025, aimed at equipping educators with enhanced strategies in pastoral care. Attended by Ms. Jasmeet Kaur and Ms. Shweta Shrivastava, the event focused on promoting student well-being, reflective practices, and teacher self-care.
Day one featured an engaging session by Ms. Monisha Datta, emphasizing the need for structured support systems within schools. Educators explored mental health challenges, practiced pastoral conversations through role-plays, and reflected on real-life scenarios—culminating in a moment of connection and shared purpose.
On the second day, Ms. Deepti Dadlani of MPower led a deeply impactful session on “holding space” with empathy and presence. Through emotional exploration and meaningful discussions, participants gained tools to foster trust and deeper student-teacher relationships.
The workshop encouraged educators to embrace empathetic leadership and prioritize emotional well-being, both for their students and themselves. By the end of the event, attendees were inspired to build supportive, reflective, and emotionally intelligent school environments—spaces where every girl is seen, heard, and empowered to lead with authenticity and confidence.
