A fond farewell

Some farewells are more than a parting; they are an outpouring of love for someone who has become part of an institution’s soul. Such was the heartfelt farewell accorded to Principal Ms Kanchan Khandke by the staff and Grade 12 students of École Globale.

A beautiful medley of performances, cherished reminiscences and touching moments celebrated her three memorable years at École. In a thoughtful tribute to her understated elegance, staff arrived dressed in shades of cream and beige. The afternoon also brimmed with spontaneous fun, as Ma’am was coaxed into dancing and an impromptu Garba session brought everyone together.

A scholar, gifted wordsmith, gracious leader and natural raconteur, Ms Khandke enriched school life with her wit, warmth and remarkable ability to connect with people. Her special rapport with children made her approachable and refreshingly human, bridging the distance between the Principal’s office and a child’s heart.

As she turns the page to a new chapter, École bids her goodbye with affection and gratitude. Though her chapter here closes, the laughter, relationships and treasured memories she leaves behind will forever remain part of École’s fabric.
