Art and sustainability Workshop
As part of Ecole Globale’s Community Service Programme, a group of 12 Ecoliers visited Government Inter College, Horawalla, to conduct an engaging Art Workshop for the students.
The workshop combined creativity with an important environmental message. The Ecoliers guided the students in making paper bags from recycled newspapers, while explaining the importance of adopting eco-friendly alternatives to plastic bags and reducing plastic waste. They also introduced the students to the art of origami, helping them create colourful and useful bookmarks.
Adding a warm personal touch to the interaction, the Ecoliers gifted the students Rakhis and hair accessories as tokens of affection and friendship.
The workshop proved to be a meaningful and enriching experience for everyone involved. It encouraged creativity and hands-on learning while fostering environmental consciousness, the spirit of giving, and a sense of social responsibility among the students. More importantly, it provided the Ecoliers with an opportunity to connect with the community, share their skills, and experience the joy of making a positive difference in the lives of others.
